Ok…so I try to be an upbeat sort of person. “Life is too short to be boring” is part of my unspoken mission. I really try to help people embody joy in how they live so when I saw this on the Today show I was inspired all over again.
Robby Novak is a 9 year old who has been making these hilarious pep talk videos with his brother-in-law. The videos have been seen over 4 million times and he can be found on the YouTube channel SoulPancake, a website co-created by Rainn Wilson of the “The Office”. Robby, or “Kid President” as he is called isn’t just talking the talk either—he’s walking it (or dancing it). He has Osteogenesis Imperfecta (a brittle bone condition) and has had over 75 breaks since he was born. So to hear him say “Less complaining, more dancing” is pretty cool. “I think we all need a pep talk,” Novak says at the start of one of his videos “The world needs you to stop being boring. Yeah, you. Boring is easy. Everybody can be boring. But you’re gooder than that.”
His mission: To make grown-ups less boring, to make the world awesome, and to make people dance.
I like that.
